Rally Italia runner-up Evgeny Novikov will switch to DMACK tyres for the final round of the 2012 World Rally Championship in Spain next month.
The Russian will line up alongside DMACK regular Martin Prokop in a second Autotek Ford on the Catalunya-based event.
The majority of the WRC field uses Michelin rubber, with DMACK’s World Rally Car outings limited to privateer Fords so far. Novikov is the first established frontrunner to compete for the alternative tyre brand.
DMACK’s best result to date is fourth in Argentina with Czech driver Prokop.
Novikov will try DMACKs fresh from equalling his career-best result with second place in Italy earlier this month.
M-Sport, which usually fields Novikov’s Fiesta, is giving reigning Jamaican champion John Powell his WRC debut in Spain.
