Algarve race postponed until 2013

The International Superstars Series has decided to postpone its planned visit to Portugal until the 2013 season owing to the European economic situation.

The series had been due to race at the Algarve circuit on 16 September this year, but organisers have elected to postpone the date until next year.

Another circuit, which has not been announced yet, is set to take the Algarve circuit’s place during the same weekend as the event was due to take place.

Organisers said the decision was taken with a view to providing teams and drivers with a “more affordable option” from a logistical point of view.

Following the replacement round, the 2012 International Superstars Series will conclude with trips to Vallelunga, Italy in early October and Sentul, Indonesia one month later.
