What It Is: The next generation of the Mini Cooper, and the third iteration designed under the direction of BMW. Captured here by our spy photographers is the five-door version, yet another derivative of a theme that seemingly can produce endless variations. The only five-door Mini thus far unleashed has been the chubby Countryman. This new model will mark the departure from the sometimes-bumpy relationship with PSA Peugeot Citroën; BMW’s third Mini, in fact, is the first Mini that will be available exclusively with BMW-built engines.
